Standard features on all Accuturn brake lathes: Extra large, cast iron, dovetail, adjustable ways are protected by stainless steel telescoping way covers. Every Accu-turn brake lathe has an oversized and hardened alloy spindle which runs on adjustable tapered roller bearings. Each cross slide is powered by an indepenent servo-motor allowing the main drive motor to power the spindle only through a simple worm and gear drive.

The Model 8800 on car lathe comes with Universal Slide Mount assembly. This automatically aligns and centers the unit, so there's no need for expensive adapters and mounting time is speedy. Just a couple of bolts mounts the unit to the calipers, and don't worry if the car's alignment is off, the 8800 will align it true. The unit has it's own drive, so you don't have to rely on the car's engine to power rotation. There's also a separate feed motor that plugs into and runs in sync with the drive motor. - These guys at Accuturn have thought of everything!
