Who isn’t familiar with Hemmings Motor News? It’s one of the premier publications dedicated to the topic of car collecting, classic cars, and car enthusiast interests. The publication started in 1954 by Ernest Hemmings and quickly rose to prominence and popularity. Nobody in the business has more clout. It is the oldest and the largest of it’s type.
Over the years, Hemmings has come out with various other magazines, all catering to other specialized areas of the car enthusiast interests. Publications include Hemmings Classic Car, Hemmings Muscle Machines, and Hemmings Motor News. If you have an interest in anything on four wheels, odds are, Hemmings has featured it or discussed in one of their publications.
The most popular coverage includes classic car auctions, clubs, collector car shows, rallies, swap meets, exotic cars, American muscle cars, European sports cars, and racing cars as well.
If you are into restoration, modifications, and custom work, they cover the mechanical aspects thoroughly as well. They address all aspects of restoring old cars to their vintage past, and provide the details necessary to bring back the fine automobile to it’s historic beauty and show winning luster.
And of course they have a popular web site for classic car buffs. You’ll find past issues there along with videos, archives and more content for the avid car enthusiast who just can’t get enough.
When Hemmings Motor News needed a car lift for their classic car museum, they contacted ASEdeals because they knew they could count on us to provide them with the best product for their situation, and that we could provide them with the best installation service as well.
When Greg Gordon from Hemmings contacted ASE asking for advice on what type of lift to obtain for their museum, we recommended one of our Bendpak two post lifts. There were many factors that went into offering that recommendation. Bendpak is one of the largest and most popular automotive lift manufacturers on the planet, and their quality is unquestionable. Plus, their lifts are ALI certified, recognized and inspected for their quality and safety standards by the only authority on the subject – The Automotive Lift Institute.
Here’s what Greg had to say when about the Hemmings experience working ASE deals –
“When we decided to convert a section of the Hemmings classic car museum into a functioning shop, one of first pieces of equipment on our list was a lift, and we wanted it to be reliable. BendPak lifts initially appealed to us because of the company’s commercial garage experience and when Automotive Service Equipment directed us the model XP10ACX we felt we had found the right unit. Our lift was professionally installed and we were very impressed with the quality of the unit.
We’ve been using the lift for a few months now and it’s serving us very well, providing exactly what we’ve been looking for. Thank you ASEdeals.com for directing us to the perfect fit for our application”.
Hemmings actually ran an article about the entire experience, including the installation as well.

Now, let’s talk about the Bendpak 2 post lifts.
The Bendpak XPR-10 lifts offer a host of features that you will not find on any of the typical, cookie-cutter hoists out there. They offer a rugged single piece column, with a super tall 53 inch lift carriage for superior strength, and a direct-drive lifting system, which is the most reliable system available.
Double diameter pulleys for the equalizer cables means that cable life is double what it would be on normal lifts. Plus, the frame engaging pads have a rubber saddle cushion to protect the underside of the vehicle frame. Another handy feature on those pads is they have a screw mechanism under them that allow you to adjust the pad height up or down by up to 2.5 inches. In addition to the screw pad capability, the lift also comes standard with a 2.5″ extensions to help reach around running boards, frame members, or pipes to get at automobile jacking points.
Triple telescoping arms in the front of most models allows for more reach when extending the arms to get at longer automobile jacking points, and the capability of setting the lift up at a wide, or a narrow setting adds for great versatility. We recommend setting it up at the wide setting in most situations, as it makes many functions easier, and really doesn’t reduce your capabilities in most situations.
The most popular feature is found on the XPR-10AS. This is the 10,000 lb. capacity asymmetric model. They manufactured it with the added capability to also position the auto symmetric if the need arises. This truly versatile features makes this lift the most popular model of all the Bendpak 2 post lifts.
Bendpak lifts are backed with a 5/2/1 warranty, and don’t worry about parts. They’re always available. Even on older, discontinued models.
So choose the lift that Hemmings chose. And purchase from the dealer that Hemmings chose. If it’s good enough for the finest automotive publication in the USA, then it should be good enough for your garage.

In addition, it also includes a secondary slack cable safety system, which automatically and instantly engages in the even of cable failure.
It even lifts a foot higher than the typical 4 post lift, and is 2 feet longer to accommodate longer vehicles. And it also is extra wide, to allow for wider autos to fit on it. These guys at Tuxedo thought of everything!

Check out our cool video we recently shot there below –
We have served and supplied products to many, many customers over the entire twenty plus years we have been in business. We’ve supplied automotive lifts and auto shop equipment to car museums, classic car collectors, gear heads as well as full bore car buffs. We’ve also supplied garage equipment to the typical shade tree mechanic, as well as the professional body shops, auto mechanics, industrial fleet services, military and state and local governments, as well as commercial and corporate entities.
Another type of customer that we are gaining popularity with is the popular social media gear heads. These guys have a huge following. Don’t underestimate their influence and reach.
TJ Hunt is one such social media influencer. His specialty is modifying popular cars with cool gear and wraps, and posting videos of the process on You Tube. He’s shown some very cool modifications on his You Tube channel, and has posted over 600 videos over the past few years. At the time of this post, he already has over 617,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. That’s quite impressive! It’s all about expressing yourself through your automobile. Most modifications are very cool, but some modifications may not be to everyone’s liking. But that’s OK.
You can check out the video below that he recently posted of the 2 post lift he purchased from us. It covers the installation of it. Obviously, we don’t recommend climbing on the lift while a car is on it as he does. He gives a shout out to ASEdeals.com around the 4:15 mark of this video.
Anybody with this kind of audience is worth making note of, and we did. When TJ needed a new car lift for his garage, he did a lot of research, and took some time before deciding on the right supplier to contact. After doing his research, he knew who to choose. He contacted ASE Deals because of our reputation and our experience. We set him up with our BendPak XPR-10AS-LP two post lift. This is the asymmetric two post lift, with a clear floor, and the popular low profile arms. The low profile arms are popular with the folks who modify their cars to make them lower to the ground. These arms feature a slightly lower pad height, but more importantly, the arms stay at the lower profile further back along the arms, thus allowing you to reach deeper within the framework of the automobile, at those frame jacking points that you may not be able to reach with the standard arms.
This car hoist is one of our most popular models because of it’s many features. Not only can it position an auto in an asymmetric setting, but if need be, it can also position the car symmetric. This adds a layer of versatility you can’t find on most lifts out there. Additional popular features include dual width settings, wide or narrow, and it is also available in an extra tall version. It also features screw pad adapters, so you can infinitely adjust the height of the frame contact pads.
Contact us today if you would like more details on this, or any other hoist in our product line. We will be sure to fit you with the best model and type for your application, and at the lowest price guaranteed. Plus, we can sell, service, and install anywhere in the USA.
Besides his popular You Tube channel, TJ also has a popular Facebook page, as well as a website featuring a product line of gear like Tee shirts and sun glasses, as well as a popular line of car finishing and detailing products, like shampoo , and car polish. He’s quite the young entrepreneur. If you’re into tricking out your cool ride, this channel is for you. This tuner car stuff is for serious car buffs. He has lots of young followers, and we are certain you’ll be hearing much more about him in the future.
What if we told you that you can get some of our most popular car lifts and automotive equipment at some of the lowest prices we’ve seen all year? If you’ve been considering getting an automotive lift or other auto shop equipment, but were waiting for a better deal, now is the time to act. These are some of our most popular items. We’re going all out with our Black Friday Sale. But we don’t limit it to Friday. These deals are good from Thursday the 27th through Sunday the 30th.

If you’re a home / hobby consumer looking for a premium quality car lift, but want something affordable, you can’t go wrong with the BendPak HD-9 lifts. They were made with the home user in mind, but are built to the same exacting standards as the popular 14,000 lb. capacity models all the way up to their 40,000 lb. truck hoists. They provide all of the same convenience and safety features, as well as the same great warranty.
We know there are many choices when it comes to four post lifts. There are many poor quality options, some good choices and then there are only a select few premium choices. If you’re the type of individual that demands the best, but at a reasonable price, then Bend Pak is for you. What does BendPak offer that these other manufacturer’s don’t? When you research into the features and specifications of a BendPak HD-9 lift, you’ll see many of the same features that you would find on the typical moderate grade car hoist. But when you dig a little deeper, you’ll soon find a vast list of features that allow it to rise above the rest.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the HD-9 series of 4 post lifts are ALI Certified. This is a very significant badge of honor. This certification is from an independent authority for automotive lift safety and quality requirements. Most lifts never achieve this prestigious award. And ALI is the only organized body that is recognized for it’s certification process. If an auto lift manufacturer tells you that their hoist is certified by someone other than ALI, move on. Simply put, nobody else has the clout of ALI.
Beyond that, you’ll find safety features that go well beyond the normal and typical features found on most models out there. For instance, the air solenoid safety release feature provides the most reliable method for disengagement of the safety mechanism. The typical mechanical safety release system found on most car enthusiast 4 post lifts are more prone to get stuck. If this were to happen on 1 column, there is a potential for the lift’s runways to become out-of-level, and if this happens while the user is not paying close attention, the lift would likely either collapse, of the vehicle could possibly slide down and fall off the rack.
Another great safety feature is the slack cable safety system. Every 4 post lift on the market has a locking safety system. This keeps the runways resting on the locking device instead of the hydraulic system. But few lifts, especially in the home market, offer a slack cable safety. This is typically found on only premium commercial grade lifts. This extra safety measure instantly and automatically engages if the cables break during the raising or lowering process while the runways are not resting on the safety locks.
Convenience & Longevity
BendPak HD-9 lifts also offer a vast list of features designed to add longevity to the hoist and to make your life easier. One of those features is the laddered safety locking system. Have an un-level floor? Instead of using the common stepped safety system that most lifts utilize, BendPak lifts use this reliable safety system that can adjust to allow you to compensate for low or high points in your floor. This can also be considered yet another safety feature, because if your lift isn’t level, this can also be a safety hazard. Beyond that, BendPak has built their HD-9 series lifts with some innovative features that allow the components to last longer, allowing you to raise vehicles without trouble, and with little down-time. For instance, the increased the diameter of the cable pulleys / sheaves that all of the lifting cables run on. What’s the significance of this? Simply put, it extends the life of the cables by up to double the typical 4 post lift.
There are 5 different models to choose from to meet nearly any consumer, or professional’s need. Click on the links below to view them –

By putting so much thought into the construction of such a fine product, you can get a better sense of what BendPak was trying to accomplish with these fine products. They offer all of the most popular accessories, including drip trays, caster kit, jack platform, rolling jacks and many others. They take no shortcuts, provide the highest level of safety, give it the highest quality powder coating process in the industry, and even offer one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. All this while offering a very competitive price. Now you see why we say – BendPak HD-9 car lifts – Affordable quality.
The MD-6XP Mid Rise Scissor Lift by BendPak is a hugely popular car lift. As a matter of fact, they are one of our top sellers. And there’s a good reason why too. First of all, it’s portable. You can move it around your shop or garage with ease. It does not have to be bolted to the concrete. It takes up very little floor space. Plus, It offers access to most of the automobile, including the tires, and it’s extremely versatile. It can handle a wide variety of autos. Plus, it is popular not only with the home / do it yourself crowd, but it also is popular with the body shops and brake shops too. The best part? It’s made by BendPak. The latest customer picture is from David Pinard out of Leigh Acres, Florida. Sure, David uses it for his car, but he has also found another use for it as you can see in the picture below. He also uses it to service his motorcycle and other equipment like lawn tractors as well. Here’s what David said to us about his lift –
“I received my lift last month. I am enjoying it. I thought I would send a photo of it in use. I hope you enjoy, I know that I am”.
You use your imagination and get the best lift for your needs. There are lots of choices.
Check out these pics below. Any gearhead would appreciate viewing these pictures. The first image is of our Dannmar D7 four post lift. This customer purchased 5 of these lifts from us. As you can see, it is being used to store one car over another. That is a typical use for this lift. It is extremely popular with our home hobby customers, or anybody looking to free up some valuable garage floor space. But it’s not just a storage lift. It is also a great service lift. We love any pictures we get with racing cars.
The picture below that is the same customer showing off his BendPak HDSO-14LSX open front, four post alignment lift. This customer has a thriving commercial auto shop and one of the many lifts they purchased from us is this beauty. They also purchased a BendPak two post lift, along with another Bend Pak four post lift. What makes this HDSO-14LSX alignment lift so special? It is a full featured alignment lift by one of the premier lift manufacturers in the business. It offers great features like an open front, meaning there is no cross member, so when the technician wants to get in between the runways to perform work, he won’t need to duck to get there. This means no bumps on the head, as well as a speedier job. We all know this formula – Time = Money.
This customer won a car battery jump starter by Booster Pac just for simply submitting his photos. You can too. We run a drawing of all the photos submitted. All you need to do is email the pictures along with your order number, and perhaps a few comments if you like. You need to have purchased the lift within the last year. You will get one entry per each lift. There is no other criteria. It’s that simple.
Here’s what Leonard Vahsholtz said to us when he submitted his pictures –
“We have Purchased many lifts from ASE, and have been extremely satisfied not only with the quality of the
lifts, but also with the service. On top of that, I know I will always get the best deal”.
Woodland Park, CO
Hey folks – Here we go again. We’ve got some really cool new pictures for you to take a gander at. If you like classic cars, then these pictures are for you. We’re partial to the old Ford pickup ourselves. These pictures were submitted by a customer by the name of Stan Misraji out of Burbank, CA. He ordered a Bend Pak HD9STX four post lift. This model is a 9,000 lb. capacity auto lift that features an extra 1 foot of lifting height, along with an extra 2 feet of runway length. These dimensions can be important when you want to park a taller vehicle underneath, as show in the image with the Ford truck underneath. It can also be important for you if you need to park a longer vehicle up top. He won a Clore Automotive JNC4000 Jump N Carry jump starter just for simply submitting these pictures to us. Not a bad deal for him. And not a bad deal for you. We will have another drawing next month. We choose a winner randomly from among the many customers who submit images of their recently purchased car lifts. That’s all you have to do. Purchase a lift, send us a picture or two, along with your order number, and then wait to see if you win.
Here’s what Stan Misraji said –
“You were very helpful and made the experience easy. I was greatly impressed with the lift, delivery time as well as the installation. Your installers were extremely professional and accomplished the installation in a fast time frame. Thank you again.”
In case you’re new to this blog, we have been having a drawing each month recently that awards a free hand-held jump starter to a lucky customer who submits a picture or two of their new car lift, tire changer or air compressor to us. The rules are pretty simple; just submit a picture, and you are entered. Then, we have a random drawing that chooses the winner.
Our favorite pictures are those that show our customer’s home garages with their brand new auto lift along with their favorite vehicle perched up on top. Very cool stuff. There are lots of nice garages and “man-caves” out there.
This month’s winner of our monthly drawing is Walt Reid from Branson, MO. Here is what he said –
“The BendPak Lift is working great! I have been working on my friends’ 1961 Austin Healey “Bugeye” Sprite vintage racer. The car is so narrow, the arms were almost too short! But it fit. I will send you a photo of my 66 Jaguar E-type when I get that up in the air. Today I put a friends 7,000 lb Dodge Ram 2500 dual cab on the lift to help him change shocks. No problem! It didn’t even sound like it was straining. I was at a buddys shop last week; his (Other brand) lift looked like a wimp compared to the BendPak. The cylinders on the the outside of the columns; the arms looked thinner and smaller; he has to pull a release cable
on each side to unlock the latch, etc. Thanks for helping with a great decision.”
Remember the days when it was assumed that every 3000 miles, you had to change your car’s motor oil? It was the mantra from everybody. It was automatic. Well not anymore.
Sure, many car manufacturers still designate 3000 miles as the mandatory oil change mileage, but many more vehicles are mandating longer time frames. Some folks used to even change their oil more frequently than 3000 miles. Some as early as every 2000 miles. The feeling was that if 3000 was good, I’ll treat my motor even better, allowing to operate at peak performance.
Modern vehicles have a service indicator light that tells them when to change their oil now, so it makes it much easier for the driver to determine when to get the service, eliminating the need for the local oil change shop’s reminder sticker on the upper left of the windshield.
Twenty percent of 2012 survey respondents change their oil between 3,001 and 4,000 miles, 22 percent between 4,001 and 5,000 miles and 11 percent over 5,000. Obviously this makes it much easier for the consumer.
Why have the mileage requirements changed in recent years? This can be attributed to advancements in both the modern automobile engine, as well as the oil itself. Some synthetic oils on the market today last significantly longer than traditional oil. Some engines actually don’t need their oil changed for up to 50,000 miles! This is obviously a great feature for peace of mind. Although most are still in the 3000 to 5000 mile range.
So the next time your car is due to go up on a car lift for a service, pay attention to the mileage. You will be surprised at how infrequent the need is.
