How They Work
Biological parts washers rely on a three-part ecosystem to function effectively:
Heated Sink Unit: The washer circulates a water-based cleaning fluid and maintains a warm temperature - typically between 100°F and 110°F - which optimizes the cleaning power of the fluid and keeps the microbes active.
Surfactant Liquid: A non-toxic, pH-neutral, water-based degreasing fluid washes oil and grime off the physical parts.
Microbes: Microorganisms are introduced into the system via a specialized filter mat or a tablet. Overnight, these microbes consume the washed-off hydrocarbons, regenerating the liquid so it can be reused indefinitely without requiring frequent fluid changes.
