Often yes, but it means cutting and removing part of the slab and excavating below it. A flush mount scissor lift usually needs less excavation than a full cassette-style unit. Have an installer inspect the floor, and follow the manufacturer's installation requirements before ordering.
Should I choose a 10,000 lbs. or 12,000 lbs. inground lift?
Choose by your heaviest regular vehicle, with a margin for growth. Standard passenger cars and light trucks usually fit within 10,000 lbs. Fleet work, heavy duty trucks, and large SUVs are where the 12,000 lbs. models make sense.
When do I need a wide inground lift instead of a standard one?
Choose a wide model when you service wide bodied trucks, exotics, or electric vehicles. The extra drive-through clearance and no bolster to drive over make positioning easier, and wide models support battery lowering on EVs.
What does the QuickCycle option actually change?
QuickCycle shortens the time the lift takes to rise and lower, which helps high volume shops that cycle the lift many times a day. It does not change capacity. If your bay turns over only a few vehicles daily, the standard version may be enough.
What happens if I move my shop later?
