Critical Installation Requirements

If you are planning to add a two-post lift to your shop floor, confirm that your site meets these safety benchmarks:

Concrete Flooring Thickness: Two-post lifts generate massive leverage on the floor anchors. You must have a minimum of 4 inches of 3,000 PSI concrete (completely cured) to safely bolt down the columns. They cannot be installed over expansion joints or heavily cracked concrete.

Ceiling Height Restrictions: Standard clearfloor models require an overhead bar at 145 inches (just over 12 feet). If your ceiling is shorter (around 9 to 10 feet), you will need to look into a floorplate model (like the SRT series or open-top configurations) where the equalization lines run along the ground.

Electrical Circuit: Similar to four-post systems, these units require a dedicated 220V, single-phase, 30-amp power source to drive the high-performance hydraulic power unit.

Advanced Safety Features: All modern AP models come equipped with BendPak's patented Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System (ASARS), which features a 360-degree forged steel ring to secure the lifting arms with 2,000+ lbs. of lateral restraint - protecting against accidental vehicle shifting while working.
