Pneumatic control valves
Industrial-grade, 45-micron pneumatic control valves feature die cast and machined bodies constructed from zinc and aluminum. High-performance polyurethane seals and self-lubricating, Teflon piston guides provide increased service life and performance at the highest level possible within almost every imaginable working condition. Valve plungers feature muffled extrication ports that direct any dirt or contamination accumulated on the outside perimeter of the spool to be automatically blown away each time the valve goes into the release position.

Balanced flywheel

Simple foot-pedal control

Pneumatic tubing

Advanced drive belt system
Specially engineered drive belt features convex sidewalls to distribute wear evenly while providing proper belt support for improved service life. Both flex-bonded cords and flex-weave covers resist the effects of oil, heat, ozone, weather and aging.

Maintenance-free gearbox
A maintenance-free gearbox features a large oil and grease reservoir that helps provide efficient heat dissipation and improved lubrication for longer service life. Internal baffles and a constant-seating stress flange gasket ensure positive, leak-free venting. The rugged gearbox enclosure is precision-milled for precise alignment of horizontal and vertical bases and features precision helical gears that operate much more smoothly and quietly than typical spur gear transmissions. The rugged housing provides maximum strength for extreme durability under hard working conditions and greater precision under load during worm and gear alignment. High-strength, oversized worms and worm gears are straddle-mounted between heavy-duty tapered roller bearings, providing rugged dependability.

Improved electric motor features the best of proven technologies, including rugged copper rotor construction, high-quality bearings, thermal-cool epoxy insulation and durable rolled steel frames.

Left and right-side tower drop-center design
Powerful left-side assist tower features a multi-profile traveling drop-center tool that holds stubborn sidewalls in the drop-center, a single lower bead lifting disc and a pneumatic non-marring wheel positioning and restraint device that simplifies external mounting procedures and helps restrain wheels during inflation. A tire iron slot built into the bead-lifting discs gives operators additional leverage for difficult tire handling. Upfront controls and a sensible ergonomic design provide ease of use and more efficient operation. Heavy-duty, tri-flange, cast-iron assist tower carriage features linear way bearings for years of maintenance-free operation.

Additionally, a right-side assist tower features dual power-drop top bead assist rollers that help hold top beads in place during removal and installation of tough sidewall tires. An additional bead-lifting disc and sidewall roller provide even more tire handling capability.

Tilt-back tower design
The tilt-back tower provides greater clearance and access for tire removal and inflation. Pneumatic-lock tool head stays positioned on the tower return for instant set up for like sets of tires and wheels.

Stainless steel and aluminum pneumatic cylinders
Ranger's cylinders are designed to reduce machine vibration and provide low friction and long life operation. Internal end-of-stroke cushions come standard and help provide support at the end of each full stroke to reduce wear on seals, wear band and piston rod. Permanent lubrication design provides outstanding service life.

Multi-function mount and demount head
The hardened alloy steel mount and demount head has a unique equi-dimensional shape that allows you to perform all changing functions with the tool head in the same position. The micro-smooth tool head surface glides tire beads effortlessly during mounting and demounting procedures to ensure costly tire damage is minimized.

Standard wheel service accessories
Important wheel service accessories come standard, like a large soap bucket with brush and a multi-piece plastic wheel protector kit that includes turntable jaw covers, bead-breaker blade boots and specialized mount / demount head covers to help protect delicate wheels. We throw in a hardened steel tire iron and bead lever tool to assist during all tire mounting and demounting operations.

Spring-assisted tool shaft
A rigid, 45 mm spring-assisted hexagonal vertical tool shaft, combined with a hardened-steel horizontal outrigger support arm, maintains perfect position of the mount-demount tool head during all tire service procedures to reduce the chance of expensive wheels getting damaged.

Guide bearings for all moving parts
All moving parts feature maintenance-free linear guide bearings for easy adjustment of both vertical and horizontal wheel settings. The non-flex horizontal arm also features a hardened lower roller guide for smooth and controlled in-and-out movement. Integrated rubber bump-stops ensure smooth return during tilt-back operations to help reduce shock loading and minimize wear on tower guides and moving parts.

Foot-controlled tire inflator
A simple-to-use tire inflator features foot-pedal operation and inflation hose with a sure-grip clip-on valve chuck, enabling hands-free operation. Integrated air pressure dump valve enables you to lower tire pressure with a simple push of a button.

TurboBlast bead seating
Ranger tire changers feature the renowned TurboBlast bead seating system that blasts a powerful air burst between the tire and rim to help seat stubborn beads fast. A durable, non-marring nylon discharge barrel features a contoured tab that locks securely on the edge of the rim for better control during air discharge between the tire and wheel. Ranger DST30P Wheel Balancer

The DST30P accurately and efficiently calibrates wheel and tire configurations. Like the DST-2420 wheel balancer, the DST30P handles wheels up to a 30” diameter. It also contains many of the same working components as the DST-2420 but with one exception: we took the 64-tooth magnetic transducer encoder from the DST-64T and built it into this smaller unit for minimal yet incredibly precise wheel weight placements.

The DST30P doubles the potential placement for wheel weights while maintaining a space-conscious and highly cost-effective shop solution. Dynamic, static and ALU balancing modes are standard on each unit, featuring dual plane calibration for all OEM configurations and performance wheels.

Ranger's proprietary Digital Sensor Technology offers a 16-digit digital sensor processor and single-chip technology for better speed and accuracy in your readings. OEM and performance wheels require this sort of sophisticated technology for proper balancing, so be sure any wheel balancer you choose is fully capable of servicing these specialized wheel types.

Single-chip circuit board architecture upgrades performance and reliability over multi-chip installations, (e.g., latency reductions, substantial boost in device throughput). A speedy, dedicated hyper transport protocol lets data communicate with the micro-processor much faster than would otherwise be possible. Single-chip boards also use less power and better dissipate heat.

Multi-Directional Quartz Piezoelectric Load Sensors
Dual-component piezoelectric quartz load sensors and digital rotation encoder measure longitudinal, transversal and shear effects for multi-directional force unbalance detection. The piezoelectric force sensors are the most sensitive sensors we have ever made, offering superior stability and fatigue resistance for unlimited service life with your wheel balancer. High-rigidity quartz crystal sensors offer high frequency detection in all three measured directions.

Quick and Precise Setup
A diverse arrangement of hardened-steel mounting cones lets you work with virtually all wheel types, including most light trucks and SUVs. A rubber “quick-nut” bell adapter, with a non-marring rear cone mount pressure cup, holds mounted wheels securely in place and is sure not to damage tires or wheels during balancing procedures.

Mounting Cone Package
The DST30P wheel balancer tooling package includes car and light truck cones, as well as a heavy-duty truck cone. This package includes three "smaller" cones: 1.75" - 2.75", 2.75" - 3.50" and 3.50" - 4.25", as well as one truck cone 4.50" - 5.00". Once an optional accessory, the 4.5" - 5.00" truck cone package is now standard.

The weight calculations on the DST30P wheel balancer are more accurate than the DST-2420 - twice as accurate, in fact! We've taken something great and made it even greater, now balancing your tire and wheel configurations with the most precise placements possible. The 64-tooth magnetic transducer encoder offers more precise placement readouts by making it easier to achieve maximum profile and top-dead-center positioning. This means you use less weight while you save more time, increasing your bottom line.

Full-Tilt Display Panel
We've taken the touch-pad display panel on the DST-2420 wheel balancer and raised it up, tower-style, for the DST30P. This design improvement offers more flexibility in how you work. The extended, fully adjustable display avoids the problem of glare that can shroud readouts on the screen, and it ensures differently abled operators will enjoy a more ergonomic experience as they calibrate tire and wheel configurations.

LED Rolling Wheel Weight Displays

The kit has one bulk roll of 100 silver adhesive steel tape weights and 100 black adhesive steel tape weights. We also include one starter box of mixed clip-on steel weights.
